The Franciscan Church

This is certainly one of Salzburg's oldest churches, dating back as far as the 8`" century. With the passing of the centuries various alterations have been undertaken, for example the masterly refashioning of the high altar by Michael Pacher and in its present form by Johann Fischer von Erlach. In 1983 the church was partly restored.
