Lofer is in Salzburger
Land which means it is in the same province as the famous city that bears its name, Salzburg. Lofer is in
the Sallachtal to be accurate and Lofer offers both
summer and winter sports. It has great hiking and
many other activities in summer and offers great skiing
and snowboarding in the winter. The Alm presents a
great deal of the skiing and the accommodation is
varied and affordable. Lofer is just a short distance
from well known ski resorts like Kitzbuhel and attracts
a lot of families. The town is about 626 Meters above
the sea and has a population of over 2,000 making it
