Just a stone's throw away you will find the romantically situated Gieringer Weiher- another wonderful place for nature-lovers and hikers. The alpine flower garden on the Kitzbühel Horn offers a very special natural spectacle which is unique in Europe. The view of Kitzbühel up to the Hahnenhamm and over to the Hohe Tauern, Wilder Kaiser and Brixental is simply breathtaking. And it's all at 2,000 meters above sea level ! A walk through this magnificent countryside opens up a world of colorful and diverse plant life that delights both plant- lovers and experts. However, the city of Kitzbühel also has lots to offer. At the "Entente florale", the European flower decorating contest, Kitzbühel was named the" most beautiful floral city in Austria" in 1998.
